Schwarzkopf Professional brings Essential Looks to Calgary

Featuring this year’s Essential Looks trends, from Pearlescence Girls to Hippi Glam to Rok Chik, the Essential Looks team, including Essential Looks Artistic Director Kathy Simon, brought their best in colour, cut and style presenting the Modern Style Collection.

Susan Boccia, manager for the Pearlescence Girls, Damien Carney, Schwarzkopf Professional’s North American Creative Director and Rossa Jurenas, the brand’s North American Colour Director used a combination of rich magenta and emerald tones to accentuate the clean, classic cuts, fusing colours together to create a modern feminine look.

Channeling the laid-back vibe of the 70s, with the Hippi Glam trend beachy waves and loose braids were the key style elements. As Michelle Oliver explained, for this trend, hair accessories were incorporated and contributed to the relaxed appeal of these undone styles. With the styles dominating the Rok Chik trend, sharp fringes and closely cropped styles married high-fashion styles with a rock star twist.
